Furry family members?
2 whippets: Willow – AKA Weedo, Weeder (my favorite! Say it in funny southern accents like you might hear in the woods along with a random Banjo playing), Foxtrot, and many many more! Clover – AKA Quover, Quideberge (don’t even ask because it’s a long story), Colbert (say it like it’s French), Echo Bear (she communicates via walkie talkie with Foxtrot on missions) and lots more!
Early morning or golden hour rides?
Golden hour, and a mountain bike ride in the middle of the night is amazing as well! I always feel like it’s the end of the world when I have to get up early!

Hobbies:
Cycling, Hiking, Trail Running, Botany/Houseplants, Baking, Fermenting, Pottery (well more of a way to show me how little control I have over life and to just let it be what it is!), Guitar, Reading.
A small thing that always makes your day better:
Seeing something small that might not be obvious unless you are looking. Things like a tiny flower or a stump with moss and small plants that you can imagine is a whole world. This is rare these days but people being nice to each other! And, finally, opening the kiln and seeing something that actually looks good!
Something you’re proud of outside of work?
Helping to mentor young people at previous jobs and helping them see all of the things they are capable of. Being compassionate and empathetic and recognizing when someone might need just one little nice thing to be said or done for them. I’m also proud to be a Gravel Champ at Dirty Freehub where I get to share my experiences, good, bad, successful or challenging, with being a Type 1 diabetic and staying active, riding, running and racing.
